Sean Simmons

Sean teaches guitar, bass, piano and voice.

Sean Simmons has been a guitarist and student of music theory since 2002. His instruments include guitar, bass, ukulele, piano and voice. Sean has always loved music, having played in bands and recorded his music since childhood. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Music from Charter Oak State College, New Britain, CT, and has also studied at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, North Adams, MA, as well as Naugatuck Valley Community College, Naugatuck, CT.

An eclectic and varied musician, Sean has influences from classical, rock, metal, blues, jazz, punk, folk, and musicals. His primary influences are Black Sabbath, Steve Vai, and even the musical Hamilton. Sean actively performs jazz, pop and top 40 live and in studio locally.

Sean scored and performed a rock version of Steven Berkoff's Agamemnon stage play, and has also performed original material with his band in Brooklyn, NY.

Sean is a very tempered and caring teacher who loves seeing his students excel.
